Mississippi Gulf Coast Women’s Golf Association (GCWGA) Minutes – December 4, 2008
Minutes to be posted on GCWGA web site by Julie Hudson.
President, Carol Conover called the meeting to order after the Christmas golf tournament. The meeting was held at Diamondhead Country Club.
The Secretary, Deb Seidel did not read the September 18, 2008 minutes - motion to dispense with the minutes.
Vice President, Julie Hudson announced the top winners of each flight - no awards.
Awards were presented for the following:
Championship Flight # 17 Janice Preble (3’ 10”) 1st Flight # 7 Patty Hourin (16’ 2”) 2nd Flight # 4 Theresa Malbrough (14’ 2”) Open to All Flights #13 Allison O’Neal (4’ 7”) Long Drive Deborah Williams Straightest Drive Betty Bowen
Old Business:
President, Carol Conover received ballots from delegates for the 2009 Nominations during morning voting/registration. The elected 2009 Officers are as follows:
President Janice Preble Vice President Julie Hudson Secretary Debbie Seidel Treasurer Carol Laux
New Business:
President, Carol Conover read letter from Hope Haven requesting help in all Gulf Coast areas. Members are encouraged to please consider Hope Haven when making contributions.
President, Carol Conover announced Sandy Mikulenka at Windance Golf Course had called and stated new golf rates for the GCWGA will be $35.00 each for 2009.
Treasure Report – Financial statement distributed to each table.
Total beginning Balance & Deposits $5,904.16 Total Expenses $5,616.11 Surplus Total $ 288.05
The Pro Shop will be giving 50% off for all summer clothes (men and women); along with 20% off all winter clothing.
Janice Preble commended Carol Conover for the excellent job as the 2008 President. THANK YOU - CAROL!!!
Vice President, Julie Hudson thanked President-Carol Conover, Secretary-Deborah Seidel, and Treasurer-Elaine Willins and all the 2008 delegates for all their hard work with the GCWGA.
Vice President, Julie Hudson announced that there would be a cross check performed with forms and phone lists.
Special thanks to the Diamondhead Ladies and Yvonne Luck for hosting the Christmas golf tournament, including the very nice luncheon – soup(s) and salad(s), cherry cobbler, coffee & tea.
